Who they are

HZ University of Applied Sciences is a Dutch university of applied sciences in Zeeland, where the Scheldt meets the North Sea. It helps us reach students in the Netherlands.

Our project with GoodPlanet

From September 2024 to August 2026, GoodPlanet Belgium and HZ ran Scheldt Youth Parliament takes action for clean water together, an Erasmus+ partnership. GoodPlanet coordinated it and HZ was the partner.

  • HZ supported the participants' research projects.
  • It helped coordinate the project.
  • It hosted the exchange in Zeeland in October 2025.

How we met

Our paths crossed before that project began. In September 2023, seven of our members attended a conference on the rights of the Scheldt at HZ in Middelburg. In January 2024 we came back for workshops on the same subject, and a beach clean-up in Vlissingen.
